Earlier I wrote that I get stressed about useless stuff. Collective western thinking ”more stuff, more happiness” is not for me. I want to have only things I really need. Nothing more, nothing less.
But sometimes it’s really hard to donate or sell your stuff if..
- You can’t get the money items are worth.
- It takes energy to inform possible buyers.
- You have emotional bond for your items.
Many times I have regonize that moving is great way to get rid off some of my things. It may be easier when you’re moving but it is possibly for other cases as well.
I advice you to change a perspective.
You might think that maybe you need some of your things at 2020. Okey, you save them and you use them like ten years from now. It was worth of saving from your perspective.
But what about from item’s, let’s say a clothing, perspective? You could give it away right now and by 2020 some person has benefitted from it all those years. There are countries nowadays whose standard of living isn’t where it should be. I think that the item can contribute more when serving person who needs it most.
So I wish you to think would it be impossibly idea to take some of your things to a second hand shop or donate them to a less developed country.
My point of view is something like ”More space, more freedom!”

Staff= henkilökunta
stuff = tavarat, esineet
I think you are right!
I believe it’s spelled “stuff”
Current spelling gives quite an interesting meaning to the post.
Hehee..
Thanks for the correction!
I want to say thanks to Katja, Plaksi, Juuso & Henri for reporting me because of my misspelling!
I really appreciate that!
I think the correct phrase is to “get rid of” something. Unless there’s an intentional word play
Yeah, the dictionary feels the same way! So it seems that 3/5 words was correct in the heading at the beginning..
Thanks Lasse!
